1. Drink coffee for a better nap
In a Japanese study that examined how to make the most of a nap, people who took a “coffee nap”—consuming about 200 milligrams of caffeine (the amount in one to two cups of coffee) and then immediately taking a 20-minute rest—felt more alert and performed better on computer tests than those who only took a nap.
2.For healthy teeth,Don’t brush just after eating
Don’t brush your teeth immediately after meals and drinks, especially if they were acidic. Acidic foods—citrus fruits, sports drinks, tomatoes, soda —can soften tooth enamel “like wet sandstone Brushing your teeth at this stage can speed up acid’s effect on your enamel and erode the layer underneath.Wait for about 30 minutes after eating & then you can brush your teeth
3.Skip energy drinks when you’re extremely tired
Energy drinks contain up to five times more caffeine than coffee, but the boost they provide is fleeting and comes with unpleasant side effects like nervousness, irritability, and rapid heartbeat, Plus, energy drinks often contain high levels of taurine, a central nervous system stimulant, and upwards of 50 grams of sugar per can (that’s 13 teaspoons worth!). The sweet stuff spikes blood sugar temporarily, only to crash soon after, leaving you sluggish —and reaching for another energy drink.
4.Exercise when you are tired
After a long, exhausting workday, exercising sounds like the last thing you’d want to do, but getting your sweat on will actually energize you. Fatigue along with mood and depression improved after a single 30-minute moderate intensity exercise session, according to a study published in “Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise.” “Everything we do uses oxygen, so when you exercise it helps you work more efficiently and you don’t tire as easily,
5.Notes to boost your brainpower
Typing notes enables you to jot down more material, but you’re more likely to remember those notes if you hand write them, according to research from Indiana University. “To learn something means you have processed it,” says Dr. Towfigh. “And when you take handwritten notes you ‘process’ or learn more information. You begin the learning process as you listen to the lecture.” Plus, since you look at the page on which you are writing, you naturally review the material and reinforce the information you’ve already processed,
This method has really helped me to study & memories things more easily. But still,it depends on the person
6.Eat olives to stop seasickness
If being on a boat makes you feel queasy, you can soothe your tummy by eating a couple of olives to dry up your saliva and make you feel better almost instantly.
7.Drink a hot beverage to cool off.
When you sip a hot beverage, your body senses the change in temperature and increases your sweat production. Then, as the sweat evaporates from your skin, you cool off naturally.
8.Turn off your bedside lamp
Many of us experience bad moods or feel inexplicably down from time to time. However, an unexpected solution to your bad mood could be to make sure your room is dark before you go to sleep. Research has shown that night time light can suppress the production of melatonin; a mood-regulating hormone only produced during darkness., To get a good mood ,try investing in heavy curtains and turn off all lights before bed, including your TV.
9.Boost your brain with chewing gums
If you have a busy morning and you need something to help you focus chewing gum will do the trick. Researchers from Coventry University found out that chewing a gum flavored could reduce tiredness. Other research has found that chewing gum can improve your memory by 35 percent and can improve your test scores.
Trick: If you have an exam where you need to remember a lot of definitions: When are studying at home,chew a chewing gum of a certain flavour ,then on the exam day in the examination room,chew a chewing gum of the same flavour which you ate while studying at home,you may remember all your definitions easily [ only if you are allowed to eat chewing gums & it may work or may not work for different persons
10.Bring an apple on plane
If you are a person, who is claustrophobic in confined places especially in air travel then green apple is what you need. According to a study conducted by the Philadelphia Health Connections the scent from cucumbers and green apples helps makes confined spaces appear bigger/ larger.
Conclusion: Many things in this world might seem odd but these things might create a difference. 🙂
